Gluten Free Liege Waffles with Orange Butter

Gluten Free Liege Waffles are a treat on any day!  Top this delicious gluten free treat with homemade whipped orange butter and warm maple syrup and you have an extra special breakfast or brunch the is perfect for your Holiday meals! This is one of our families favorite Christmas morning breakfasts and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do! ~ Josie

Ingredients

1 batch of our gluten free Liege Waffle recipe 

For the whipped butter:

1/2 cup salted butter of choice (dairy free works here!) at room temperature.
1/4 tsp Orange Zest finely grated
1 tsp Date Lady Date Syrup or Maple syrup
More warmed maple syrup for topping

Instructions

Make the Liege waffle according to our recipe (note these need time to rise so plan ahead!).

While the waffles are cooking make the butter:

Add butter ingredients to a large mixing bowl (or stand mixer) and beat well on high for about 2 minutes until the ingredients come together and are very smooth. Note: if the butter is not becoming smooth it may be too cold.  You can add it to a sauce pan and warm it up gently then beat it again!

When you are ready to serve very gently warm the maple syrup on low heat.  Top the Liege Waffles with Orange butter and warm maple syrup.  YUM!
