Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Dutch Baby
This is a tasty way to take advantage of all those gorgeous fall apples! Just a simple twist on our beloved gluten free Dutch Baby (aka gluten free German Pancake), if you’re a fan of those simple to make yet impressive recipes you are going to love this one!
The apples are cooked as your oven pre-heats in the same pan that the rest of the recipe goes in so, clean up is easy here. Once the oven is hot your pan and apples are ready to go and you just pour the batter in and watch it transform! This Dutch Baby has a tendency to rise slightly less than our classic Dutch Baby recipe, only because the apples hold it down a bit. Trust me here, you will not mind once you taste this beauty! Enjoy our Gluten Free Apple Cinnamon Dutch Baby recipe! 🫶 Josie
Ingredients
6 eggs
1 cup Josie’s Best GF Muffin & More Mix
1 cup milk of choice
1/4 tsp salt
4 TBS butter or coconut oil
Sliced Apples
Cinnamon
Instructions
Place butter, sliced apples and cinnamon in an oven-safe skillet (I used 10 inch)
Place skillet in cold oven and turn the oven on to 400
Beat eggs very well in large bowl until slightly frothy.
Add milk, beat well. Slowly add in Muffin and More Mix and salt, so they incorporate completely.
Carefully open (now preheated) oven and pour batter into hot skillet. (use oven mitts & keep face away from hot butter!)
Cook for about 15 minutes or until the bottom is set and edges are tall and slightly browned.
This will get really puffy and impressive in the oven! If your dutch baby has not puffed up at 15mins. leave it in for 2-3 more mins and then check it again.
Enjoy!
