Gluten Free Cherry Chip Waffles

This delicious flavor combo is a real gluten free treat!  Easy to whip up using our very popular gluten free waffle recipe “The waffle” . Simply add the cherries and chocolate into your batter and wow the gluten free foodie in your life.  Enjoy! 🫶 Josie

Ingredients

2 cups Josie’s Best Waffle GF Mix
3 large eggs(or proportionate egg alternative)
½ cup oil
1 ⅓ cup milk of choice
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
1/2 cup of sweetened canned cherries (only cherries, no juice) we used these from Oregon Specialty Fruit
4oz of bittersweet chocolate chopped finely

Instructions

In a bowl mix well: waffle mix, eggs, oil, milk and vanilla(optional)

Add cherries(no juice) and chocolate to the batter. Stir gently to incorporate.

Cook like waffles being aware that the chocolate can burn (and will taste bitter) – so keep an eye!

Optional: Top with yogurt, cherries and some of the cherry juice! So yummy, a real treat! Enjoy!

For an extra sweet treat: Top with your favorite ice cream and chocolate syrup!
